Scholarships for students

We award scholarships to university students. In addition to tuition fees, the scholarships cover accommodation in a student residence and a stipend for living expenses. It also covers additional expenses such as costs for excursions, travel expenses for university internships, course materials, and the cost of copying and binding theses. Each student also receives a used laptop. Talent or outstanding academic achievements are not our primary selection criteria. Rather, we focus on the potential for change our scholarship recipients can bring about, on the improved life prospects for their future. The students come from very disadvantaged backgrounds, from poverty-driven environments with limited access to education, and often from broken and dysfunctional families. Our scholarship recipients are driven by the desire to overcome their socioeconomic challenges and lead self-determined lives. We know each scholarship recipient personally.
